Logistics Manager job vacancy in Johannesburg.
Currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager for an FMCG company to be based in Johannesburg.
R45 000 per month negotiable.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To ensure, maintain and enhance current company supply chain processes and systems
- Plan, direct, or coordinate the transportation, storage, or distribution of goods and services
- Develop forecasting plans to maintain enough inventory
- Verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner
- Establish priorities, track assignments, and ensure availability of resources
- Maintain schedules and deadlines
- Comply with standards and shipping regulations
- Supply Chain Operations
- Logistics Management
- Strategic Sourcing
- Forecasting
- Work with internal departments to ensure customer needs are fulfilled
- Assist with procurement and inventory control
- Optimize inventory performance via trend forecasting
- Ensure vendor information is correct
- Maintain and process documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Imports / Exports knowledge a definite
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics and or Supply Chain
- 5 Years’ experience in supply chain and logistics
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Computer literate in all Office Programs
- Excellent Excel and Systems experience
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
