1. Information on this site
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the information on this site is accurate and complete, all job listings are supplied to us by the recruiting business or by a third party and we are not able to check the accuracy or completeness of that information. We do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in any of the information on this site or any liability in respect of information on this site supplied by you, any other site user or any other person.
2. Your use of this site
You may use this site for lawful purposes only when seeking employment or when recruiting staff. You must not undermine the security of our site or any information submitted to or available through it. You must not seek to access, alter or delete any information to which you do not have authorised access. You must not post spam or flood our site or attempt to use any device, routine or software to crash, delay, damage or otherwise interfere with our site. You are solely responsible for all information submitted by you to our site. You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied by you is up to date, true and accurate and must never mislead or post discriminatory, obscene, offensive, defamatory or illegal, unlawful materials. You are also responsible for ensuring that all information, data and files are free of viruses that may damage or interfere with any data or equipment before being submitted to this site. We reserve the right to remove any information supplied by you from our website at our discretion at any time and for any reason without being required to give any explanation.
3. Information submitted by you
We will use information supplied by you including personal data to aid the recruitment process and associated administrative functions. This involves us processing and storing information and passing or making available online such information to prospective employers and clients; information about vacancies and placements will be passed to candidates and may be posted directly onto the website. You consent to us using information provided by you including personal data in each of these ways.
4. Usernames and passwords
You will need to use a user name and password in order to register with our site. You are solely responsible for the security and proper use of your password which should be kept private and confidential at all times. You must never disclose your password to any other person and must notify us immediately if you think your password is known to someone else. We accept no liability for any unauthorised or improper use or disclosure of any password.
Credit card and instant EFT payments will be securely processed by PayFast (https://www.payfast.co.za). Cash payments to be made via direct bank deposit.
6. Job Posting Rules
We require employers to follow our basic job posting guidelines listed here – https://www.compujobs.co.za/job-posting-rules. We reserve the right to edit or remove ads that do not abide by these rules. Payments are non-refundable when our terms have not been adhered to. Posters that regularly break our posting rules may find their future use of the site restricted.
7. Access to CV database
Database rights and all other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in the candidate database belong to CompuJobs. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any rights in the database or its content and that your retention and use of the database and its content is governed by these terms and conditions.
The material you are entitled to receive from the candidate database is determined by the product you have purchased from us. On receipt of this material you may:
- Use, search or download it to your database using the Candidate Search back office interface and its associated functions for the purpose of finding suitable candidates for specific job vacancies that you or (if you are an employment agency or employment business) your client wish to fill.
- Use the information about the individuals contained in the database for the purpose of contacting them (either directly or through the CompuJobs website) in relation to a specific job vacancy.
- Use the information only in connection with your own recruitment-related activities.
You may NOT:
- Supply, sell or license material from the candidate database, or a copy of it, to any other person, including another member of your group of companies.
- Download, search or view the database through any automated (e.g. “scraping”) process.
- Contact the individuals on the database or make or allow any use of the information about those individuals, other than for the purpose of finding suitable candidates for specific job vacancies.
- Access our candidate database from a system that is not fully patched or does not have industry standard AntiVirus software installed that is regularly updated.
Access to the database is subject to our fair use policy and is strictly controlled to protect the privacy of our candidates. Any action that is deemed to be abusive or contrary to our terms will result in the service being terminated.
8. Protection of Privacy
CompuJobs is compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and will not grant access to our employer services without verifying the authenticity of each company that registers on the CompuJobs website.

CompuJobs accepts no liability for any loss of business, revenue or profits, wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or for any other indirect or consequential loss whatsoever whether it be direct or indirect arising from your use of our site or CompuJobs services. We hereby exclude any such liability under any circumstances. You agree to indemnify us and keep us indemnified against all costs, expenses, claims, losses, liabilities or proceedings arising from use or misuse by you of this site and you must notify us immediately if anyone makes or threatens to make any claim against you relating to your use of this site.
10. Third party website links
This website contains links to third party websites that are controlled by others. CompuJobs is not responsible and accepts no liability for any of the linked third-party websites and does not make any representations regarding the content or accuracy of the materials on third party websites. If you access or use any linked third party websites you do so at your own risk.
11. Changes to terms & conditions
We reserve the right to change these website terms and conditions at any time. You will be deemed to accept the terms and conditions (as amended) when you next access or use this site following any amendment.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
By way of understanding and agreeing to the conditions set out above, this contract will remain in force until cancellation by the client in writing. If you wish to cancel an account you may do so by sending an email stating your request to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Refunds may be requested if a job posting service service was purchased in error and has not been used. This must be done by emailing email@example.com within 24 hours of purchase.
We will not issue refunds if a service has been utilized or if the user violates any of our terms or job posting rules. Please ensure you meet all requirements and ensure that your company registration has been verified prior to making a purchase.
No refunds will be issued for resume database access services.
