Credit Controller – Johannesburg

A Credit Controller position is available in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

R35 000 – R40 000 CTC per Month

As the Credit Controller for this manufacturing company, you will manage administrative functions for client accounts, to ensure accurate financial reporting and cashflow management of the companies’ trade accounts receivable.

Applicants must be able to work Independently, manage large volumes of transactions and communicate effectively with external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• B. Com degree in finance or accounting
• 5 Years’ experience as a credit controller
• Experience in manufacturing industry with large volumes of stock items
• FMCG experience
• Exposure to multinational companies will be Advantageous
• Experience in maintaining supplier financing portals
• Excellent computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Business Central will be an advantage.
• Ability to reconcile complex debtors accounts

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluating new credit requests and conducting customer credit checks, in partnership with debt managing service provider
• Maintaining customer database to ensure statutory, secretarial and account trade limits are up to date. This will require working with debt managing service provider
• Managing and collecting due and payable accounts of debtors’ book to ensure account balances are maintained within terms
• Responding to customer enquiries and liaise with responsible team members to efficiently resolve
  customer queries
• Act as back-up to operational team as and when required with issuing delivery notes, invoices, credit notes etc.
• Cashflow management is key and crucial to this role – all deliverables, duties and roles will be aimed at cashflow management
