Graphic Designer Full Time Job

Graphic Designer job vacancy in Port Elizabeth.

Our client is looking for a versatile Graphic Designer to join their marketing team for a full time position based in Port Elizabeth.

This role covers the full spread of design needs – social media advertising, Google and website banners, in-store displays and online A+ content – and also requires the technical skill to handle packaging and box artwork built to exact factory print specifications when those projects come through.

This is not a Canva-only role, we need someone comfortable working across Adobe Creative Suite who can move between fast-turnaround digital creative and precise, production-ready print files.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
• 3 to 5 years design experience, including hands-on work in packaging or print production – this is essential, as packaging projects come through regularly and need to be handled without errors
• Strong working proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat
• Experience designing adverts for Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), including familiarity with Meta’s ad specs and formats
• Solid understanding of print production fundamentals: dielines, bleed, trim marks, CMYK versus spot colour and file preparation for commercial printing
• Familiarity with digital advert specs (Google display network sizes, social media platform specs) and eCommerce content formats (e.g Amazon A+ content)
• Meticulous attention to detail and comfort working to exact technical measurements
• A portfolio demonstrating range – digital/social design as well as packaging or print production work

Key Performance Areas:

• Design social media advertising creative across platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok etc), sized and formatted correctly for each placement
• Design Google Display Network and website banner adverts to exact advert size, specifications, including multi-size banner sets
• Build Amazon A+ Content (enhanced brand content) and equivalent online retailer content, following each platforms technical and layout requirements
• Design in -store displays and point-of-sale materials that meet retailer specifications
• Design product packaging and box artwork to exact factory specifications when required, including dielines, bleed, trim, CMYK/spot colour blinds and print-ready file preparation – liaise directly with printers and factories on proofs and technical requirements
• Maintain brand consistency across all packaging, retail and digital touchpoints
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines across digital and print deliverables
• Design email graphics for newsletters and marketing campaigns
