Bookkeeper Full Time Job

Senior Bookkeeper job vacancy in Milnerton, Cape Town.

Our retail / distribution products client in Montague Gardens, Milnerton, Cape Town, seeks the expertise of a bookkeeper.

Full Bookkeeping function including small payroll 40 on Pastel Payroll Pastel. You need a qualification and 5 years’ experience.

Salary: R35 000 – R45 000 per month.

Minimum Requirements 

• Matric with relevant Diploma/Degree in Bookkeeping/Accounting
• 5+ years’ experience as a Bookkeeper within a Manufacturing Retail Packaging Distribution Imports and exports Products Industry
• Dealing with imports and exports agencies an added bonus
• Experience with Sage Accounting and Pastel Payroll essential
• Excellent in Excel
• Must have SARS loading and Submission abilities and experience
• Payroll of permanents and wages essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping up to Trial balance / Balance Sheet on SAGE
• Manage 2 clerks in the finance department – report to Finance Manager
• Full Debits & Creditors Functions
• Full Payroll (30-40 staff) Pastel / Sage Payroll
• Full Recons of all accounts
• Manage and monitor experiences like fuel and others
• VAT calculations, recons and SARS submission of VAT
• SARS submission of EMP201/EMP501/IRP5/VAT201
• Dealing with outsourced accounting firm to assist with SARS
• Assist with Audits and financial reporting
