As a freelance designer & illustrator, I am innovative, organised and meticulous. Able to comfortably build client relationships, accustomed to performing in a deadline-driven environment, I can successfully manage and coordinate design projects from concept to completion.
After many years workings as an editorially-driven art director, I have taken some time off to create and run my own brand
The Colour Jar producing illustrated children’s activity books and packs aimed at the hospitality & tourism industry. Before the current covid pandemic, I was supplying these to many of the 4 and 5 star hotels across South Africa – including custom designed and illustrated products for Cape Grace Hotel, Boschendal, Norval Foundation, De Hoop Nature Reserve and Grootbos Private Nature Reserve.
Working Platform: Mac OS
Programs: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), Procreate (digital illustrations) MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
To remain relevant in the digital age, I am busy with The Web Design online short course from the University of Cape Town (UCT) to equip myself with the knowledge
of HTML coding and styling web pages using CSS.
