The world of mathematics as we know it. Everyday, maths shows profound connections and their possibilities, one of the many things that has increased my love for maths.
I am currently doing my final year in the BSc. Actuarial and financial mathematics programme, this has been an interesting journey that I wish to fulfil. Through this degree I have been introduced to a wide variety in the field of Mathematics, Statistics and Finances. This has broadened my interests. The more I learn about it, the more my professional ambitions have taken shape. Through encountering some setbacks in my life, my personality has continuously pushed me to give my best. I have learnt that I am an ambitious and goal driven individual, who is committed to self- improvement.
I aspire to obtain more knowledge on the fields of actuarial statistics and/or finance. This would provide me with the opportunity to further develop my competencies. Financial engineering has me encapsulated, the idea of modelling financial techniques to solve financial problems is spiffing.
“If we want to exploit fully the potential of financial instruments we must go beyond the approach of overcoming obstacles, to enhancing their potential. We must maintain their positive features, overcoming existing rigidities in the way they do their job, but we should also try to be innovative in designing financial instruments in the future.”- Prof. Danuta Hübner
These financial instruments have all advantages we will now need. I would like to acquire more knowledge and skills beyond the realm of my undergraduate studies. I would be most grateful if I were given the opportunity to do so.
Thank you for the time you have taken to review my application.
I look forward to your response.
