Tasting Room Manager – Stellenbosch

A Tasting Room Manager position is available in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12
• Minimum WSET 2 or similar wine qualification
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Tasting Room Manager
• Marketing qualification would be beneficial
• Passion and knowledge for the wine industry
• Strong  English & Afrikaans verbal & written skills
• Strong interpersonal & customer liaison skills
• Strong organisational, administrative, financial & management skills

Overall role:

• Responsible for managing the tasting room, wine club & all sales activities.

Duties:

• Ensure professional customer liaison at all times
• Manage direct customer sales & on-line sales
• Manage marketing activities & drive sales targets
• Manage, train, and lead team of wine advisers
• Manage stock control & tasting room supplies
• Dispatch on-line orders, samples & restaurant orders to customers
• Responsible for cleanliness, presentation & maintenance of the tasting room
• Liaise with Stellenbosch Wine Routes for execution of Stellenbosch Wine Route activities
• Promote the brand & image of the wine estate & its products to all customers
• Ensure compliance to industry regulations & quality standards
• Ensure administration &  records are kept according to company policy & standards
• Grow the database & wine club membership
• Assist with Social Media, marketing & Public Relations activities to promote the wine estate

Location: Stellenbosch (Award winning wine estate)

Salary: R25 000 – R30 000 p/m neg on exp
