Stock Receiving Specialist – Randburg, Johannesburg.

Our client, a well-established luxury lifestyle brand in Johannesburg, is seeking a detail-oriented Stock Receiving Specialist to manage the accurate receipt, verification and system processing of all incoming stock to support smooth production and dispatch operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving & Verification
  • Receive supplier deliveries and internal transfers.
  • Verify quantities, product types, colourways, sizes and specifications.
  • Inspect items for damage, defects or shortages.
  • Match deliveries to purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Escalate discrepancies immediately.
  • Coordinate quality checks where required.
  • Ensure only approved stock enters inventory.
  • KPIs
    • Receiving accuracy ≥ 99%
    • Discrepancies identified immediately
    • Damaged stock isolated and reported
    • Zero receiving errors causing production delays
• Inventory Systems & Documentation
  • Capture stock accurately into ERP systems such as Sage or PRI.
  • Ensure same-day stock processing.
  • Maintain receiving records and documentation.
  • File supplier paperwork for traceability.
  • Update stock availability information.
  • Support inventory reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy.

    • Inventory accuracy ≥ 99%

• Storage & Inventory Organisation
  • Label and store stock correctly.
  • Maintain orderly receiving areas.
  • Apply FIFO principles where applicable.
  • Ensure safe handling of materials.
  • Prevent stock damage and losses.
  • Maintain inventory visibility.
  • Support stock discipline.

  • Support the flow of stock into production.
  • Communicate shortages and delays.
  • Alert management to supplier issues.
  • Assist with urgent material requests.
  • Coordinate with Stock Control and Dispatch.

Requirements:

• Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Inventory Management preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in stock receiving, inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Sage, PRI or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy.
