Stock Controller Full Time Job

Stock Controller job vacancy in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Our client, a well-established luxury lifestyle brand in Johannesburg, is seeking a detail-oriented Stock Controller to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure the smooth flow of stock across production, warehouse, dispatch, retail and online channels.

Salary: R15k – R20k per month based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inventory Accuracy & Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock discipline.
  • Perform stock reconciliations and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve stock variances.
  • Monitor stock movements and inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare stock reports and support inventory audits.
• Stock Receiving & Verification
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Check quantities and product accuracy.
  • Coordinate quality checks during receiving.
  • Process stock accurately into inventory systems.
  • Escalate discrepancies and supplier issues promptly.
• Operational Stock Flow
  • Manage stock movement between Receiving, Production, Warehouse, Dispatch, Retail and Online channels.
  • Monitor stock transfers and inventory traceability.
  • Ensure stock availability to support operations and launches.
  • Maintain accurate transfer records.
• Dispatch & Fulfilment Support
  • Verify stock for dispatch and customer orders.
  • Support pick-list accuracy and stock readiness.
  • Coordinate inventory requirements with operational teams.
  • Ensure order fulfilment accuracy.
• Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Maintain inventory reports and system accuracy.
  • Support SOP implementation and stock control procedures.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with stock audits and process reviews.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in stock control, inventory management or warehouse operations.
• Proven experience with stock reconciliations, cycle counts and inventory reporting.
• Strong understanding of inventory control processes and stock movement management.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Sage and maintaining accurate records.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
