Social Media Manager Full Time Job

Social Media Manager position available in Cape Town.

An international group of premium pet nutrition, raw feeding and natural pet wellness brands is building a Cape Town ecommerce and marketing team supporting multiple B2C brands across international markets.

The Social Media Manager will own social strategy, listening, community management, influencer activity and performance across the brand portfolio.

Location: Cape Town (1 work-from-home day per week).

Salary: R35 000 – R45 000 CTC per month (experience dependent).

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of social media management or community management experience.
• Previous experience working with EU and/or US B2C consumer markets is essential.
• Proven experience managing social channels across multiple brands.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms and community dynamics, with experience using social listening tools.
• Demonstrable experience using AI tools in day-to-day social media work.
• Pet owner preferred; a genuine interest in pet health and nutrition a must.
• FMCG, pet products, food, health, beauty, industry experience is advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop social strategy and content plans across multiple brands, platforms and campaign cycles.
• Manage social listening, sentiment, competitor activity, trends and escalation of potential issues.
• Own social performance reporting, including reach, engagement, follower growth and top-performing content.
• Manage day-to-day community posting, responses, comments and messages, ensuring consistent brand voice.
• Manage influencer and ambassador relationships, including outreach, briefs, approvals and posting schedules.
• Commission photography and coordinate shoot requirements with the Creative Content Producer.
• Align organic and paid social activity with Performance Marketing.
• Manage and develop the Junior Social Media Manager and use AI tools to support research, planning and execution.
