Senior Systems Analyst – Johannesburg

A Senior Systems Analyst job vacancy is currently available in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

R850 000 – R900 000 negotiable

Duration: Permanent

Looking for a passionate Senior Systems Analyst with a good understanding of Business Analysis and application integration who is highly analytical and result orientated to join our team

Minimum Requirements:

  • BCom/BSc IT or similar
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a similar position within industry or related industries
  • Willingness to grow skillset to latest technologies
  • Broad knowledge of business and technology
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • The ability to construct and work to deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of various development languages (ASP.NET, MVC, C#, Web API, etc.)
  • BI Tool (Qlik advantageous)
  • Database management (MS SQL)
  • Knowledge Syspro ERP
  • Competence with Crystal reports
  • Strong experience in user testing and project management
  • Practical application ability with Microsoft Office

Duties of the Senior Systems Analyst:

  • Recommend, design, develop, test, and deploy new functionality or enhancements for ERP and other applications.
  • Prepare technical specification as a roadmap for software
  • Maintain documentation of key databases and linked applications
  • Recommend, design, and create reports and queries that assist in accurate performance measurement and progress toward corporate objectives in various formats e.g., excel, SQL and BI Tool
  • Champion best practices governance of the applications.
  • Working closely with IT team, ensuring that new solutions fit into the existing enterprise architecture from a technical, business, risk, user, and other perspectives
  • Engage and consult with business users and management on business procedures and policies
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues in systems identified or reported as they arise
  • Provide instruction, assistance, and support to application end-users, applying both technical and functional knowledge for business process development and improvement.
  • Monitor, record and respond to requests for support
