Retail Area Manager – Johannesburg

A Retail Area Manager (Fashion/Retail Industry) position is available in Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 per month (dependent upon experience in Fashion Industry)

To start immediately/as soon as possible – Must have Fashion Retail Area Management Experience/ Background.

A large and well known clothing brand based in Rivonia, Sandton are currently looking for a Retail Area Manager to start as soon as possible.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required:

Matric (relevant qualification is advantageous)
Tertiary Qualifications
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Organized
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Own transport essential with valid driver’s licence
Must be able to handle extreme pressure
Must have Fashion/Retail Management background – preferred (If you have worked for Fashion
Retail brands like Woolworths, Edgards, Truworths, Foschini, etcetera, it will be an advantage)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Manage the staff recruitment, training and development process while effectively planning, organizing and controlling all human resources.
Ensure that the store achieves budgeted sales by means of effective sales management.
Effectively manage the stores stock file and implement effective controls to monitor and influence stock service levels and dead stock.
Implement initiatives in order to develop customer relations and create a customer centric shopping environment.
Ensure that all merchandise is logically presented in store to achieve sales budgets and improve customer service levels.
Ensure the effective implementation and execution of all legal requirements of OHASA and create an environment which is safe for staff/customers.
Ensure all cash and assets are secured and that process is followed at all times

Retail Area Manager Full Time Permanent
