Reporting Developer – Johannesburg

A Reporting Developer position is available in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

A Reporting Developer is required on a Hybrid model in Johannesburg, to work closely with the internal and external stakeholders in effectively collecting, analysing, interpreting, presenting and managing quality data and delivering first time resolution on enquiries for the group.

Relevant tertiary qualification, 3 – 5 years’ experience in MIS / Reporting / Data extraction / Data analysis with MS products, particularly Excel, SQL and SSRS and PowerBI is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of queries and ensuring they are resolved timeously and effectively.
  • Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and on-going requests in terms of data quality.
  • Develop methodologies and methods for analysing and presenting data in either SSRS or PowerBI, whichever is the most appropriate to solve the need.
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting data.
  • Efficient compilation and presentation of divisional and functional reports, data trends and analysis in the correct visualisation tool.
  • Interpret and analyse trends in information in order to gain valuable business insight.
  • Identify opportunities for improved business performance based on information.
  • Identify risks to the company and escalate accordingly.
  • Develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including 3rd parties and service providers.
  • Maintain broad product knowledge in order to effectively and accurately respond to customer queries.
  • Provide first time resolution on enquiries.
  • Deal with customer requests in a competent, efficient and professional manner.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and exceeded.
  • Good relationships with team members as indicated by a willingness to assist colleagues.
  • Support effective teamwork.
  • Engage with appropriate training interventions to promote own professional development.
  • Actively live the company values.

Requirements:

  • Relevant technology related degree/ diploma is an advantage
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in MIS/Reporting / Data extraction / Data analysis
  • Proficiency in MS products, particularly Excel, SQL and SSRS.
  • Experience in PowerBI
