Junior Marketer (Fashion / Retail) required in Johannesburg.

A large and well-known clothing brand based in Rivonia, Sandton, is currently looking for a Junior Marketer to start as soon as possible, or immediately.

The Junior Marketer supports the planning, development and implementation of the company’s marketing strategy and campaigns.

The position will assist with digital marketing, social media, promotional campaigns, content creation, store marketing and marketing administration, with the aim of increasing brand awareness, customer engagement and sales.

The Junior Marketer will be expected to take ownership of allocated marketing activities while working closely with the CEO and other departments.

MUST COME FROM A FASHION / CLOTHES MARKETING BACKGROUND, OR HAVE RETAIL FASHION BACKGROUND WITH MARKETING.

Salary: R25 000 per month (Negotiable).

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Diploma, certificate or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in marketing, digital marketing or a related position.
• Experience with social media management and content creation. (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Retail marketing experience will be an advantage.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (essential)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and implementing marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Develop marketing ideas and proposals for seasonal and promotional campaigns.
• Assist with coordinating campaigns from planning through to implementation.
• Monitor campaign deadlines and ensure that agreed activities are completed.
• Track campaign performance and prepare basic reports.
• Make recommendations for improving future campaigns
• Manage and maintain the company’s social media platforms as allocated.
• Develop and schedule engaging social media content.
• Assist with developing monthly social media content calendars.
• Create content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
• Monitor engagement, comments and customer interactions.
• Track social media performance and provide regular reports.
• Keep up to date with social media trends and retail marketing opportunities.
• Assist with paid social media advertising where required
• Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional material for stores.
• Ensure stores receive marketing material within the required timeframes.
• Communicate promotional instructions to Area Managers and Store Managers.
• Monitor the implementation of promotions in stores.
• Assist with store visits and marketing audits where required.
• Gather feedback from stores regarding marketing campaigns and promotions
• Research competitors, retail trends, customer behaviour and promotional activities.
• Monitor competitor social media and advertising.
• Identify potential marketing opportunities.
• Assist with customer and market research.
• Provide feedback and ideas based on market observations
• Maintain the marketing calendar.
• Maintain accurate records of campaigns and marketing activities.
• Assist with supplier communication and quotations.
• Assist with managing marketing budgets and expenditure records.
• Prepare presentations, reports and campaign summaries.
• Maintain an organised filing system for marketing material
