Internal Sales Consultant (Refrigeration) Full Time Job

Internal Sales Consultant (Refrigeration) required in Strand.

You will support a busy refrigeration and air conditioning parts operation by handling inbound sales enquiries, advising customers on the correct components, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.

You will work closely with external sales representatives, procurement, stores, and logistics teams to ensure customers receive the right products on time, with professional communication throughout the process.

Salary: R15 000 – R18 000 + Commission and Benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls, emails, and counter sales enquiries for refrigeration and air conditioning parts and equipment.
• Assist customers in identifying the correct components from part numbers, specifications, manuals, technical drawings, or equipment model numbers.
• Prepare accurate quotations, follow up proactively, and convert quotations into sales orders.
• Capture and process orders on the ERP system while ensuring correct pricing, margins, and discounts are applied.
• Coordinate stock availability, backorders, supplier lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and dispatch teams to resolve stock shortages and order delays.
• Keep customers informed of order status and manage queries, returns, warranty claims, and credits where required.
• Provide technical product information and sales support to contractors, installers, maintenance companies, and external sales representatives.
• Achieve service level targets for quotation turnaround times, response times, and monthly sales objectives.
• Identify opportunities to upsell complementary products and promote new product lines.

Requirements:

• Matric essential; a technical qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or HVAC will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ proven internal sales experience within the refrigeration, air conditioning, HVAC, or related technical parts industry (non-negotiable).
• Solid understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, motors, refrigerants, copper tubing, fittings, and accessories.
• Strong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy in quoting, order processing, and customer follow-up.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Syspro, SAP, Sage, Pastel, Dynamics, or similar.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
