High Site IT Manager Full Time Job

High Site IT Manager position available in Franschhoek.

We have a vacancy for a High Site IT Manager in Franschhoek and Surrounding Areas. Must be a dynamic, sales-driven leader, technically proficient and can work under pressure.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 to 5+ years of experience in enterprise networks, server hosting, and team management.
• Proof of Certificate or Diploma on any below qualifications –
• A bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7).
• Or a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science / IT.
• Or a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Information Systems National Diploma in Information Technology Higher Certificate in Information Systems Support.

Experience Required:

• Tools and Platforms, and Monitoring: Zabbix, Splynx.
• Hardware Platforms: Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, DC/AC power systems.
• Wireless RF infrastructure (Ubiquiti, Mikrotik)
• Power systems management (Solar, UPS, diesel)
• Incident handling and RCA analysis
• SOP and documentation creation
• Inventory and asset tracking
• Team management and vendor oversight
• Fall Arrest Training & Safety Compliance Management
• Analytical reporting and metrics tracking
• Strong administrative and operational management skills
• Ability to manage reporting systems, operational documentation, and compliance tracking
• Strong organizational and time-management capability
• High attention to detail and follow-through
• Real-time communication and escalation via digital tools
• Maintain fall protection, grounding, and electrical safety measures.
• Ensure all site access is controlled and recorded.
• Conduct regular safety equipment inspections and certification reviews.
• Communicate proactively with high site owners/landlords regarding technician visits.
• Maintain visible communication with team and leadership via WhatsApp for operational transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Infrastructure and Network Operation.
• Be able to travel to Multi-Town/Province for Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) Operations.
• Manage and maintain WISP network to ensure optimal uptime, safety, equipment performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Co-ordinating field technicians, monitoring real-time site performance, responding to critical alerts, driving strategic expansion and maintenance initiatives.
• Report to Chief Technical Officer and Chief Operation Offices.
• Site Operations, Monitoring, Maintenance and Audits.
• Technical Oversight and Fault Response.
• Power and Environmental Systems.
• Team Administration and Technician Management.
• Security, Safety and Compliance.
• Documentation and Asset.
• Vendor and Branch Co-ordination.
• Strategic Expansion and Planning.
• Daily and Weekly and Monthly Breakdown Tasks, KPIs, Tools and Platforms to manage.
• Safety & Legal Compliance – Adhere to ICASA regulations and OHSA site safety.
