Group Travel / Tourism Consultant – Somerset West.
Do you manage the planning of group bookings for clients travelling into South Africa and Africa from overseas? Please note GROUP TRAVEL BOOKING experience essential!
Excellent opportunity to further your career in travel, ability to manage from A – Z the full travel itinerary and pricing for client enquiries – South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana – advantageous.
Hybrid position – 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Requirements:
- Matric, relevant qualification advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
- Proven experience in travel management of specific regions of operation (South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana – advantageous)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills
- Passion for creating out of the box travel experiences
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extensive client liaison.
- Develop and manage budgets for each program.
- Optimize costs while maintaining quality.
- Coordinate transportation, accommodation, functions, events and all ground activities.
- Ensure seamless execution of travel programs in conjunction with our Programme Tour Director
- Work closely with local industry partners and existing relationships play a large role in the appointment of the applicant.
- Negotiate contracts and secure competitive rates.
- Understand client requirements and preferences.
- Translate briefs into innovative travel programs
