Financial Controller Full Time Job

Financial Controller position available in Pretoria.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller (CA(SA)) to lead the day-to-day finance function within a multi-entity group.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing the finance team, overseeing operational cash flow, ensuring strong financial controls, and delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.

Salary: R60,000 – R75,000 per month. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance department and oversee daily operations.
• Manage group cash flow, liquidity, and payment processes across multiple entities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, management accounts, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, provisional tax, company income tax, and statutory requirements.
• Manage the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS and South African tax legislation.
• Coach and develop the finance team while driving continuous process improvements.

Requirements:

• Registered CA(SA) with SAICA.
• Minimum 5 years’ post-articles experience in a Financial Controller, Group Accountant, or similar role.
• Proven experience managing a finance team in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong experience with group consolidations, cash flow management, tax compliance, and external audits.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a sound knowledge of IFRS and SARS compliance.
• Experience within property, retail, or trading environments will be advantageous.
