External Technical Sales Rep Full Time Job

External Technical Sales Rep required in Kempton Park.

Seeking a motivated and results-driven External Technical Sales Representative to develop new business and grow customer accounts within the technical and renewable energy sectors.

This is a hands-on external sales role suited to a proactive sales hunter who enjoys prospecting, building relationships and closing new business. The successful candidate will manage the full sales process while developing long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

Experience within the renewable energy sector is highly advantageous, although strong technical sales professionals from related industries will also be considered.

Salary: R20 000 – R30 000 Basic + Vehicle Allowance + Fuel Card + Commission.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in external technical sales or business development
• Renewable energy industry experience highly advantageous
• Strong track record in new business development and account growth
• Confident prospecting, cold calling and developing new customers
• Strong quotation follow-up and closing ability
• Experience managing key customer accounts
• Experience using CRM systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Pastel experience advantageous
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working independently
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
• Willing to travel regularly to customer sites

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prospect and develop new business opportunities across Gauteng
• Identify and approach potential customers within targeted technical markets
• Conduct regular customer visits and sales meetings
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Prepare, submit and actively follow up on quotations
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing
• Manage key customer accounts and identify opportunities for further growth
• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activities on the CRM system
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities
• Provide management with feedback on customer requirements and market conditions
• Compile and submit accurate weekly sales and pipeline reports
• Achieve agreed sales, gross profit and business development targets
