Drawing Office Manager – Johannesburg
A busy steel service Centre is looking for an experienced Drawing Office Manager, with experience in the metal fabricating industry.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Minimum Qualification: Computer Aided Drawing Office Practice (CAD) N4 Certificate
Experience and Requirements:
- 8 or more years’ experience managing a drawing office
- 8 years CAD software experience
- 8 years’ experience as a Nesting Officer or similar experience
- Ability to read and interpret customer technical drawings
- Working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and TruTops, Bysoftware 7, GEO and Sigma Nest software
- Knowledge of material properties and tools required for customer specifications
- Additional drawing courses and software.
- Knowledge of material properties and tools required for customer specifications
- Knowledge of drawing techniques, codes, symbols
- Ale to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Mathematics and Science background
- Ability to do measurement conversions
- Computer literacy- Proficient in MS Office
- Understanding of cut to size, pipe manufacturing, high-definition plasma and guillotine cutting, bending, rolling and other related fabricated products
- Understanding of production processes
- Good communication skills, people relation skills and interpersonal skills (internal and external)
- Knowledge of general administrative processes.
- Knowledge of team management and motivation and team development
- Knowledge of the disciplinary code etc. that the company utilize and knowledge of handling hearings and poor performing individuals
- Of sober habits
- A stable work record and contactable references
- Reside close to Wadeville
- Have own reliable transport
