Delivery Lead / Scrum Master – Johannesburg

A Delivery Lead / Scrum Master position is available in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

PBT Group has an opportunity for a Delivery Lead / Scrum Master.

Specific delivery related functions:

Project-1 (Technical Development project, part of bigger Enterprise-wide programme):

Deliver weekly reports for the Project Steerco on project delivery and blockers/issues.
Manage the sprints for the development team (3 x developers)
Resolve blockers or issues that the team experiences
Engage in project and steerco meetings on the bigger Program
Manage the invoicing feedback and provide reporting to the financial team of the steerco (includes bi-weekly meeting)
Drive the prioritisation sessions of the project based on information from the Steerco with the delivery team
Manage the projects in Client Specific tools (PPM & Octane) and make sure all developers have the items they need to capture effort
Perform all project management duties related to the Projects (perform sprints, document project plans, and perform project reporting)

Project-2 (Service Desk):

Manage the ticketing system for the Service Desk (Remedy)
Feedback on all issues experienced in the Service Desk and progress thereof and make sure all data issues are resolved
Drive the data issue reporting and manage the feedback to business – includes engaging technical teams involved in the delivery
Manage classification of the data issues and Service Desk items for accurate reporting

Project-3 (Digital transformation project):

Manage daily stand-ups
Drive the Project items in Client Specific tool (Octane) and manage the weekly delivery meetings and update statuses for all projects
Address blockers the team has with relevant stakeholders
Perform PM duties on technical delivery of the project (perform sprints, document project plans, and perform project reporting)

Experience:

4+ years of Scrum Master and Technical delivery leadership experience.
Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
Highly proficient in using MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiar with using tools for remote and co-located meetings and sessions, including shared repository services
Prior experience in the Project Management or Agile project delivery domains will be required and exposure to ‘Business Intelligence’ projects are preferred
Experience or exposure to projects in the IT industry, ideally involvement in Data related projects, e.g. Data migrations, Data Warehouse / Cloud implementation or migration projects

Qualifications / Certification:

A degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Business Administration / Commerce or equivalent
