Configuration Administrator Full Time Job

Configuration Administrator required in Somerset West.

A renowned international Engineering company is looking for a Configuration Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Helderberg Area.

Requirements:

• Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or Management Assistant or a related technical/administrative field
• Experience in a similar role (e.g., aerospace, defence, automotive, energy)
• Experience with strict compliance configuration management standards
• Experience managing & maintaining document control systems & configuration processes
• Proven documentation control experience
• Strong involvement in supporting & executing change management activities
• Proficient in the use of PDM Systems such as SharePoint, FileCloud, & Teamcenter
• Understanding of compliance requirements, internal policies, & external regulations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments, including Engineering, Operations, & Quality teams

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Document Accuracy & Integrity:
  • Ensure all customer-facing documentation complies with Configuration & Document Management standards
• Timely Delivery and Notification of updated and new Documentation
  • Provide required documentation & data within agreed timelines to relevant internal & external customers
• Compliance with External Customer Requirements
  • Ensure that document control processes meet customer standards, contractual obligations & regulatory requirements
• Change Communication
  • Assist the CM Manager in maintaining a clear tracking record of the change process
• Audit & Traceability Support
  • Prepare & present documentation for internal & external customer audits, inspections, & configuration reviews
• Customer Relationship & Support
  • Act as a point of contact for internal & external customers & suppliers
• Document Control & Governance
  • Create awareness to prevent unauthorized or outdated documents from being used
• Configuration Management Compliance
  • Support & adherence to internal & external configuration & quality management standards
• Change Management Support
  • Support the CM Manager with tracking & reporting on the Change Control process & related approvals

    System Administration
    • Maintain & administer PDM system (Teamcenter), SharePoint, as well as FileCloud

• Audit & Traceability
  • Conduct & support the CM Manager during documentation & PDM system audits
• Collaboration & Communication
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on documentation processes & requirements
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Support the CM Manager with the documentation & configuration processes
