You will be working directly with the development team on the testing of a web-based application which is used to create and manage mobile internet sites. Our client has recently won several awards for its innovative and high-performance products and is now de-facto market leader for mobile interactive applications for the media industry.
They are now looking to expand their team and need your expertise to help them with their continuous enhancements to their ever expanding platform. Their backend systems need to be performed under load and be robust and scalable. Their user interfaces need to not only look appealing and reflect their brand values but are also need to be intuitive and user friendly and provide optimal usability for the application’s core purpose. They pride themselves with the extent to which their platform looks, interacts and feels like a desktop application but is actually on the web.
You are expected to have a valid passport and will, upon joining, immediately travel to the UK for a period of 1-2 weeks. Passport visa will be applied for at time of offer acceptance. Beyond this initial induction short trips maybe required on a 6 monthly basis
You will be working directly with a small team of developers and be responsible for the creation of test cases, test documentation, execution of test and the tracking and communication of bugs. MIG emphasises agile methodologies and prioritises explorative testing and automates testing over manual test execution
This position requires 2-3 years experience in software testing, preferably with exposure to mobile internet services, but not essential. You must possess experience of investigating and troubleshooting issues, have been responsible for running Test Cases, recording results and raising defects. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be organized and self-motivated.
You are expected to have acquired the following skills:

· Execution of manual test cases, including functional / non-functional / GUI / stress and performance tests.
· Validation resolution of identified defects.
· Identification, analysis, and documentation of all programming errors (defects)
· Ability to review product and system functional requirements and create test cases to ensure that overall quality is delivered.
· Production of reports on test results and test progress
· Ability to manage execution of tests, replication of faults, defect reporting, prioritizing defects and re-testing.
· Working knowledge of creating tests using test automation software, e.g. Selenium
· Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office in particular Word and Excel.
· Working knowledge of Windows environments and / or Linux environments

Required Education
You require a degree in computer sciences with a grade equivalent to the UK’s 2.1 or better.
Other desirable skills:
Knowledge or experience of test automation software for web applications, e.g. Selenium
Knowledge or experience of web programming languages such as html, javascript, css.
Knowledge or experience of agile project management methodologies such as SCRUM.
