An exciting opportunity has arisen for IT Technical Engineers to join Telnet Communications. Telnet specialize in telecommunication products for small-medium sized business.

 As an IT Technical Engineer, your principle responsibilities will include:

• Providing remote support for our clients, resolving technical issue 
• Troubleshooting network related issues and maintenance of network
• Ask appropriate questions in order to determine the fault and finding the appropriate solutions
• Replacement of parts – PABX – spares on hand
• Repairing of telephone and network points
• Ensure maintenance and procedures and response times as per SLA requirements are strictly adhered to
• Logging all faults for record purpose and updating of the same at all times
• Ensure project completion with in time constraints of quote/order and maximum time efficiency is
• Occasionally visit our client’s site to repair or replace defective components, such as switches, relays, amplifiers, and circuit boards, using hand tools and soldering iron
• Retests repaired equipment to ensure that malfunction has been corrected

The ideal candidate will have the following desirable skills and experience:

• Experience with networking
• Experience with Linux
• Ideally with VOIP/asterisk
• Good problem solving skills
• Good communicator
• Drivers licence is an essential
