Requirements; Candidates Must:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of systems engineering experience.
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. - Have experience with performance analysis, systems software (operating systems, device drivers, database servers, etc.), large scale storage systems and systems architecture.
- Possess a deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, troubleshooting, architecture and core technologies (DNS, LDAP, NFS, FTP, etc.).
- Possess strong Unix/Linux administrator skills.
- Have experience with virtualization technologies.
- Have an understanding of disk array management/configuration, iSCSI, fiber channel and similar technologies.
- Have knowledge of distributed systems and high availability service based architectures.
- Be able to demonstrate current proficiency in one or more scripting languages including Ruby, Python or Perl.
- Have knowledge of system performance methodologies along with hands on empirical monitoring.
