Senior Systems Administrator URGENTLY required for our Midrand based Client. 

Skills and Experience Required

• Relevant IT Degree
• At least 5 years experience
• Solaris Systems administration experience
• Scripting experience (Perl, Python and Bash)
• Networking experience
• Oracle database knowledge
• Strong analytical skills
• UML knowledge a plus

Responsibilities include:

• Technical lead and supervise a team of system administrators and system programmers
• Monitor and tune the systems to achieve optimum performance levels
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers
• Assist Client with installations and upgrades as well as ensure communication with clients
• Scripting / writing programs to automate the process to ensure efficiency
• Ensure integrity of the systems
• Mentor and guide more junior systems Administrators
