Local established and leading company in car hire is looking for an experienced Manager in Communication Technology (from Telecomms industry). Someone to manage and implement a cost-efficient and reliable telephony and communication infrastructure allowing the business to transact during operational hours.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the telephony solution for the CLIENT such that telephony services are available when required
• Liaising with I.T. Operations staff to ensure that proper data center facilities and hardware are supplied and that such equipment needed are fit for purpose
• Liaising with service suppliers proactively so as to ensure optimal solution up-time, and with these same suppliers reactively when issues are uncovered so that management are kept abreast of the issues and their resolution
• Planning for capacity such that the call center and PABX systems allow for organic business growth.

Knowledge:

The following knowledge attributes apply:

• Candidate must have a good knowledge of the various hardware and software systems used to manage & control the Telephony and Call Centre support function
  

  o   Voice mail management

  o   TMS management

  o   Voice call logging management

  o   Call and contact center management

  o   PABX functions management

Skills:

The candidate is expected to be able to manage the solution architecture function by way of the following skill set:

• Technical skills:

o   Sound technical knowledge of telephony and its associated technical domains.

• Communication skills:

o   Ability to interact at all levels in the organization

o   Good interpersonal relationships

Ability to plan, organize and control the tasks related to this function

Qualification and requirements:

• BSC Comp Sci or similar qualification essential

• Minimum 5 years experience as a senior telephony technician is required

• Telecomms background - NON NEGOTIABLE

• Valid, unendorsed vehicle license

Salary:

R 27750.00 cost to company salary

R 23 000.00 basic salary
