The Role and Responsibilities:

• The main responsibility of a senior / specialist mediation development consultant is to co-write and implement formal specifications as written up for him/her into scripts written in a ‘C’ like proprietary language. The development consultant will be responsible for unit testing of his/her code and making sure that the performance and robustness of the code is of a high quality.
• The senior / specialist mediation development consultant is responsible for coaching and mentoring more junior development consultants and testers in the mediation team.
• Employee will require a thorough understanding of Telco call and event processing, especially mediation.

Skills and Experience:

• Should have at least 3-5 years of programming in 'C/C++'
• UNIX or Linux skills essential (at least 3-5 years experience):
  • Create and modify user account           
  • Create directories           
  • Modify file and directory properties           
  • Create and modify shell scripts           
  • Configure system resources              
  • Monitor performance using standard utilities
• At least 3 to 5 years experience in Python or Perl.
• ASN.1 format understanding
• Understanding of the software development cycle.
• Experience in other programming languages advantageous.
• At least 3 to 5 years experience in Telecommunications Mediation Systems.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate and work with others in a team environment.

Qualification:

• Educated to degree level in computing sciences, or recognized qualification relating to programming discipline or similar in Software Engineering
