Solutions Support Developer

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Type: Permanent

Salary: R300,000 – R336,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

The successful development of business processes via the company business process management tool to clients.

Nature of Work and Job scale

Major Functions:

• Development of BPM Solutions using MVC, .Net, FC, SP, BI toolsets
• Map clients’ processes, using Visio etc.
• Utilize functional specification, technical specification – to be signed by stakeholders to ensure consensus.
• Develop technical spec, DB design using SQL
• Draw up a project plan with clear milestones to be achieved
• Configure and test solutions based on clients’ requirements
• Build prototypes to offer guidance were requirements are unclear and/or the client is unsure
• Continuous communication/workshop/presentations with PM to ensure that the customer’s expectations are met
• Implement solution
• Conduct FAT Acceptance Testing to ensure the solution is stable and according to the customers’ requirements
• Providing Ad-hoc support to established client base via VPN
• Provide post-implementation support as per SLA with client
• Keep abreast with latest technologies for self-development
• Apply change controls
• Apply version control.
• Source code management.

Qualifications

Major

• Suitable Bachelor’s Degree i.e. B.IT/B.Sc. or related area of study
• 2+ years’ experience with software design and development on a Windows platform
• Database systems (SQL, Database, Database Administration)
• VBScript, .Net Environment, MR
• Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis
• Experience working with a Product Development team in an agile software development environment
• Must have the ability to assess as situation quickly, from a non-biased point of view, and help arrive at the most beneficial solution for all parties involved
• Proven background in enterprise application design and implementation
• Experience developing multithreaded applications
• Experience developing real-time transaction processing applications
• Experience in integration mythologies
• Experience in SharePoint and QV beneficial

Minor

• Microsoft's C# Programming Language, Microsoft's WCF (Windows® Communication Foundation) Technology, Microsoft WPF (Windows® Presentation Foundation) Technology, Ajax, Infragistics (advantageous)
