REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 Years technical experience in a telecommunication preferred; At least 5 years Pre-sales, product management or vendor management experience within a telecommunications or IT environment; At least 3 years exposure to commercial contract management; At least 3 years exposure to logistics management recommended.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
Matric with M+ 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Sales and/or Marketing essential.
PRINCIPAL TASKS:
i) Channel Development-the incumbent must facilitate the on-going introduction of new products into both emerging and existing markets.
ii)Sales Support-the incumbent has responsibility for generating quotations, complex solutions design, finalising correct optimal pricing structures, negotiating the price of products with vendors, technical presentations when required, sales training and product demonstrations where required.
iii) Marketing Assistance-the incumbent has to research the necessary technical information and assist in the compilation of news briefs and articles for local publication. In conjunction with the marketing department, he/she is to plan and co-ordinate product exhibitions and road shows.
iv) Product Management Reports: The incumbent will generate the following: NPI status reports, Win/Loss reports (quarterly); Products sold report, Pipeline Report (monthly); Product and Market status report (6 monthly) Budget Report (Annual);
v) Product cycle management. VI) SLA Management
