Job Specification
This is a Junior IT role which focuses on ensuring optimal performance of IT infrastructure system using Enterprise System Management (ESM) tools.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matriculation
• IT-related tertiary qualification
• ITIL Certified - Desirable
   

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 2 - 3 Years ESM Tools administration - Essential
• 1+ month(s) experience in networks, systems and database administration
• 1+ month(s) experience in Application Development
   

JOB KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Network Administration - Desirable
• System Administration (ARS) - Desirable
• Database Administration - Desirable
• Application Development - Desirable
   

Tasks
To manage the installation of Enterprise System Management tools:

• Install, upgrade and remove components of the ESM tools
• Perform quality checks on installed components
   

To maintain the Enterprise System Management tools:

• Performance tuning of ESM tools
• Back-up of ESM tools
• Maintaining the reporting engine and data
• Administering notification rules
• Liaising with ESM tool vendors
• Planning the optimal usage of ESM tools
   

To configure the Enterprise System Management tools:

• Defining the monitoring parameters of the ESM tools based on instructions
• Proactively gathering monitoring parameters from significant role-players
• Deploying the monitoring parameters
   

To automate repetitive administration tasks:

• Scripting development and maintenance with PERL and Windows Scripting

To produce Enterprise System Management data reports:

• Run scheduled reports on a pre-determined schedule
• Define and set-up the structure of management reports
   

Salary
R150K-R220K (CTC) per annum
