We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Data Specialist to be based at their South African offices. Head office is based in Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Data Specialist to really make their mark in a very exciting industry.

The purpose of the role is to provide the highest quality geological data management consultancy services to the companys clients and to contribute to the development and management of the consulting teams processes and procedures.

This is a junior position and therefore some on the job training will be provided and will work under regular direction from the senior members of the consulting team.

Experience and Education:

• +1 - 3 years experience in the IT or Resource industry
• Understanding of the Exploration and Mining industry
• Knowledge of SQL and experience in SQL Scripting
• Knowledge of SQL Server
• Database design and modelling experience
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong general IT knowledge
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Tertiary qualifications in IT and/ or Mining related discipline
• Proficient with SQL Server
