Duties:

Core Servers

• Firewall configuration and maintenance
• Web-server maintenance
• Development server maintenance
• Code management software configuration (SVN)
• VPN server configuration
• Server user access control
• Server alert systems
• Server log analysis
• Code, server and database backup and restore
• Server hardware installation
• Debug server hardware problems
• Managing server security and implement policy
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management
• Server security research
• Server automation and scripting
• Downtime and maintenance reports
• Maintain server documentation
• Liaise with external service providers (IS, MTN)

Database

• Database Server Administration, configuration and maintenance
• Database Design
• Database Development
• Final responsibility for all SQL statements against DB
• Network compliance Report generation
• Scanner data Report generation
• Miscellaneous Report generation

Essential Requirements:

• Matric
• Relevant Qualification advantageous
• Sound Linux / UNIX Skills
• Strong TCP / IP Network Skills
• Exposure to PostrgreSQL

Salary:

R15 000 – R25 000 CTC (Dependant on experience)
