IT and Security Systems Manager

My client in the wine industry has a vacancy for an IT and Security Systems Manager to be responsible for the following:

• Managing the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the organisation’s  Microsoft Windows applications and systems including but not limited to Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003,2008 and Microsoft Exchange and Linux
• Managing the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the organisation’s local area network hardware and software
• Managing network operations to include: troubleshooting connectivity problems; adding and terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses; assessing and reporting operational status; performing backups and restores
• Ensuring technology documents and certificates such as product registrations, maintenance agreements and service contracts related to technology operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated and processed
• Implementing, administrating and maintaining databases
• Providing technical supervision and Support of Junior Staff; completes technology staff evaluations
• Analysing staff's technology Skill requirements and structure future training
• Assisting staff in understanding and using technology
• Developing and maintaining technology policies, standards and procedures
• Ensuring all Project Related Activity and day to day incident and problem management tasks are captured and managed on a central helpdesk system for monthly and annual performance reports
• Developing and managing technology budget and monitors and approves related expenditures.  Reviewing and approving cost pool expenditures
• Supervising Technical teams (Internal + 3rd Party Contractors) to ensure Scheduled Maintenance on all Infrastructure is taking place
• Managing, planning and coordinating the Security Systems (CCTV, Fire, Intruder Alarm systems) department and technical staff

Requirements:

• Min 5 years experience in IT Management Role
• Administering and supporting a complete Microsoft Environment (AD, SQL, EXCHANGE 2010, Sharepoint)
• Good Understanding of Networking and firewalls as well as minor Cisco switch configurations
• Good Understanding of CCTV and other security related systems
• Budget planning
• Grade 12 + Tertiary Diploma or Degree
• Microsoft MCSE (MCSA) or more recently branded/structured as MCITP with specialisation
• A+ and Network + Certifications
• ITIL certification beneficial
• VMWARE certifications beneficial but experience definitely essential
• Navision administration beneficial

Remuneration:

• R25 000 – R30 000 TCTC Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
