Sandton based leading IT company seeks to employ an intermediate SQL DBA to join their growing team in this fast paced environment.  You will be responsible for maintenance, monitoring, performance integrity and security for all databases within the organisation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Relevant IT Degree or Diploma
• MCDBA and / or MCTS (SQL Administration)
• Minimum 3 years SQL DBA experience
• SQL 2005/ 2008
• Good T-SQL skills
• Stored Procedures and Triggers
• Database Tuning, Performance monitoring
• DTS/SSIS Packages
• Backup and Recovery
• Database Security

Responsibilities include

• Developing and writing basic T-SQL Queries and Scripts
• Performance monitoring
• Replications administration
• Backup monitoring
• Job maintenance and scheduling
• Security maintenance of the databases
• Implement Manage and Maintain Automated reporting and alerts
• Patch management of SQL environment
• Query performance monitoring
