Sandton based Blue Chip is looking for an Application Systems Administrator to manage, create and configure multiple environments.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Bsc Computer Science or a relevant IT Tertiary qualification
- 3 years Systems Administration experience
- 2 years Weblogic/JBoss/Tibco specific experience
- (Weblogic/JBoss/Tibco / StarTeam)Product certification essential
- Problem identification and resolution skills
- Programming understanding
- Scripting
- System documentation
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Systems Analysts
- Establish effective communication mechanisms
- Investigate and establish applications for general use (e.g. StarTeam, Cognos, Tibco etc)
- Perfomance tuning
- Supporting business users and developers
- Stress testing
- Batch job scheduling
- Resource management
- Archiving logs/ projects/ data
- Document automation
