Education: Degree in B.Com Information Technology/ Informatics/ Engineering (with business background), Computer Science (with business background) or relevant experience

Experience:

• At least 5 years business analysis and/or related business experience, including at least 3 years concurrent experience in the telecommunications environment
• At least 3 years experience in system analysis
• Applications, integration and security  experience

Functional Architecture Design

• Ensure alignment of system strategy with business plan strategy
• Develop and align business processes with functionality, together with the process architecture team
• Develop and maintain a quality framework for functional architecture design
• Produce enterprise level end to end designs to meet business requirements in line with the business architecture
• Develop enterprise architectural model for application, integration and security
• Map all system functionality processes
• Analyse and align core functionalities to architectural framework
• Investigate and provide inputs to the approval of the functional systems development strategy in accordance to the business strategy and in conjunction with stakeholders
• Integrate applications functions within the process and data enterprise architectural framework
• Research, analyse and provide inputs from benchmark analysis and integrate those findings into functional architecture design and roadmap
• Provide constant status and feedback as to functional architecture deliverables
• Provide support in the form of consultation and coaching to improve system design and strategy
• Identify and propose adjustments to systems functionality in order to optimise the business
• Input into the establishment and maintenance of functional architecture government processes
• Develop system functionality framework and align with IS architecture design
   

Functional Architecture optimisation

• Support implementation of business architecture and system strategy-related initiatives
• Manage process of revision of all specifications for system functionality
• Review, on a ongoing basis,  functional processes for acceptability from the relevant stakeholders
• Ensure solution (including business analysis) completeness and alignment to business architecture requirements and guidelines in conjunction and in alignment with IS Architecture
• Ensure linkage between system and Business Strategy
• Identify solutions, constraints, scope, cost, risks, value and business case for all application functionalities
• Ensure alignment with Customer Facing and all application functionalities within enterprise areas
• Analyse and assess system functionality
• Ensure functional and logical data architecture integration into business architecture framework
• Optimise system functionalities and integrations based on best practices and benchmark
