IT Business Analyst required for Sandton based company.
The IT Business Analyst will conduct analysis and design of solutions that can rapidly be deployed in our current distribution; and/or help to develop new ideas for solutions based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.
The IT Business Analyst will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for their solution offering, occasionally working with the sales channel as well as key customers.
The IT Business Analyst must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The IT Business Analyst must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
The main Key Responsibility Areas are as follows:
Operational implementation and success of products developed
Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: business cases, business requirement specifications (BRS), functional specifications (FRS) and possibly test specifications.
Participate in the Planning, Analysis, Design, Testing, Implementation and Support of the practical business solution, using structured processes, sound methodologies and project administration disciplines
Lead the creation and execution of analytic action plans that addresses top priority business challenges
Work closely with IT during the development phase to ensure that the changes or new developments do meet the client s requirements and conforms to standards
Business Acumen and Market Understanding
Sound understanding of the mobile services industry and available product offerings
Awareness of how various electronic delivery systems map into the selected architecture of the mobile platform, and what the constraints are
Conducting feasibility studies to assess the need and cost effectiveness of new products and/or enhancements
Develop comprehensive and strategic information by gathering facts via interviews, Internet, external sources etc.
Analyses the information, creates scenarios, evaluates alternatives and provides executive management with recommendations
The IT Business Analyst must display the following critical competencies:

Skills / Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a job in the retail, prepaid, cellular and or secure electronic payments market
Minimum of years experience as a Solutions Manager
3+ years of software marketing/product management experience
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Tertiary education such as Bachelor's commerce degree or MBA
Knowledgeable in payments/e-tokens technology
Technical background, with experience in the retail, prepaid, cellular and or secure electronic payments market
Must be able to travel locally and internationally
