BI and SQL Specialist required to join the Business Intelligence Department of a growing company in Woodmead.

Main objective: Responsible primarily for Data Warehousing and relational database development.

Key areas of responsibility

• Data Warehouse development and maintenance
• SQL server/8 and relational database development
• Create cubes using SSAS
• Stored procedures, functions, triggers
• DTS packages, SSIS and SQL queries
• Writing more complex queries for specialised requirements on current and new projects
• Develop operational reporting systems
• Develop systems to support operations
• Ensure that data sources cater for demands of ad hoc extracts
• Operations and maintenance of standard, routine queries
• Operate, maintain, enhance and optimize systems
• Ensure correct preparation of data for all operations
• Additional tasks related to data extracts, automated operations and SQL queries as required
• Assist with queries to support both business projects, operational and informational needs

• Understanding of data
• Table management

Preferred

• Microsoft SQL Server DBA skills

Qualifications and experience

• Business Intelligence experience including design and maintenance of dimensional data warehouses
• Must have SQL server/8 and relational database development, Stored procedures, Functions, triggers, DTS packages, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS and SQL query experience
• BSC Comp Science, industry qualifications or equivalent experience
• A minimum of years relevant experience
• In depth knowledge of business data
