Although this is a position to be trained as a System and Network Engineer you will need solid desktop technician skills and be required to support desktops and all the devices connected to them at our clients from day 1.
You must have a passion for I.T. have solid skills in building desktops.
You must have your own reliable transport
Experience:
- Solid Desktop hardware and software knowledge/experience.
- Reasonable LAN knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Wan and internet connectivity.
- Solid Troubleshooting skills essential
Language skills:
English: Understand, Read, Write: Excellent
Afrikaans: Understand, Read, Write: Good
Essential Skills:
- Desktop Operating Systems: Windows XP, Vista, Win 7
- Pop3 mail setup
- MS Office 2003 onwards
- AV Solutions and removal.
- Knowledge of backup strategies.
- Mobile phone mail setup
- Dos commands
- Printers and Print Servers
- Identify and propose desktop hardware & software solutions to clients.
- Outlook 2003 onwards.
- ADSL Routers
- Spyware Removal
Daily Duties:
- Desktop and user support at customers
- Assembly and upgrades of desktop computers.
- Supporting all devices connected to desktops and LAN.
- Upgrading existing hardware
- Troubleshooting hardware and software
- Assist Systems Engineers building , troubleshooting Servers and Networks
- Collection and delivery from suppliers
- Assist Systems Engineers with their daily duties.
- Assist with Desktop, Notebook and Server role outs.
- Telephonic support
- Monitoring Helpdesk and providing first line support.
Training:
You will be required to pass an MCP Exam of your choice within 3 months from being employed.

Salary:
R8 000 - R9 000 Before Tax + R2500 petrol Card
This will be a contact position for 3 months to go permanentafter probation.
